Rex von Riesling is a large, stunning 3 year old German Shepherd. One of our volunteers met the owner turning Rex into the shelter. He had gotten Rex as a puppy from a breeder but, once neighbors complained about barking, Rex was taken to the shelter. Rex is just a typical German Shepherd and doesn’t want to be left outside when the rest of the family is inside. He wants to belong and be by your side. Rex actually talks to you and carries on until he can sit right next to you, then he is happy.  When Rex joined the play group of 27 dogs, it was interesting to watch the other dogs size him up. Actually, they were pretty hard on him, but he has good social skills and just moved away. We are proud of our big handsome hunk!
